Quadrant is a low fifelity sampler built around four ISD1820PY voice recording chips. The instrument lets you record in via microphone or line-in, the recorded audio is divided into four equal segments and stored in it’s own dedicated ISD chip. The four segments play back simultaneously in a continuous loop and each can be stretched and pitched independantly.  In it’s second mode, a white noise circuit feeds a sample and hold, clocked by a 555 square wave oscillator. The random output from the sample and hold drives a voltage controlled oscillator (VCO) and results in randomised timings in the triggering of each audio quadrant - resulting in an analogue quasi-granular sound.
